Kristen A. Ruka (an actual Ph.D.) and Nathan A. Libby (actually A.D.D.) are new friends who bonded around a shared predilection for witty badinage and a mutual fascination with the mysteries of the human brain. Having determined experimentally that any neuroscience-related conversation between them would be so entertaining that it would be immoral to let it go unrecorded, they have collaborated to share their thoughts with you, the podcast audience, and remain in compliance with ethical standards. No need to thank them. But seriously, thank them.

Ruka is a scientist by training with a B.S. in Physiological Sciences from Marquette University and a Ph.D. in Molecular & Integrative Physiology from University of Michigan. Her research experience has been in neuroendocrine, reproductive, sensory, renal, and molecular physiology. She is currently focused on science communication and creative projects. Check out her solo podcast Early Bird Science.

Libby is a three-time college dropout and consulting expert in overconfident bull-nonsense. He spends equal time contemplating the origins of the universe and trying to find a good rhyme for “butthole.”
